I took delivery yesterday. After flying 4600 miles it was nice to see her in the flesh. The owner was an awesome guy who took great care of the truck. It was just as described and there were no surprises.
Of course, like any reasonable T4R member, minutes after taking ownership of the car I drilled a hole in it.
The kit is from [MENTION=12905]XenonDepot[/MENTION] and has the 4300K Philips bulbs. Output is awesome and I hear that the color temperature of them will cool a bit as they burn in. Comparison picture:
The Salomons I bought last year were a nice accessory.
We ended the night in Nashville at Hattie B's hot chicken. The food was great and we slept fairly early after a long day of air travel and a bit of driving. We drove 360 miles yesterday and averaged 19.1 MPG (calculated) doing 80-85 most of the time.
Of course, like any reasonable T4R member, minutes after taking ownership of the car I drilled a hole in it.

Hey TVA - If it's not too late, I'd suggest you cut out LA (which unfortunately means Sequoia and Kings Canyon) and instead head through Death Valley and then up 395 in CA which lets you see some AMAZING country including Mt Whitney, the Ancient Bristlecone Pines, Mammoth (which includes the Devil's Postpile) and Mono Lake before taking Tioga Road into Yosemite (which allows you to drive through the high Sierra and make a stop to see Toulumne Meadows and Tenaya Lake).
I personally think there is NO reason to see LA and a drive up the Central Valley is the most boring, smelly, and usually hot drives you can take in the US. You lose Sequoia (which is unfortunate) but I think you gain a lot more.

Sorry for missing an update day guys. Days 2 and 3 blurred into one unexpectedly. The original plan from Nashville was to drive as far as Kansas City with a stop in St. Louis for BBQ.
The day began at Pancake Pantry with the truest advice I've ever read.
With our bellies full we had a nice drive to St. Louis, where we compared two of the more popular places in the city.
Bogart's had, hands down, the best pulled pork I've tasted in my life. They were unfortunately out of the rest of the menu items as we arrived a bit late in the afternoon.
From there we proceeded to Pappy's, where we sampled the ribs and brisket. Just based on execution, without direct comparisons, I'd give the nod to Bogarts.
While driving from St. Louis ostensibly to KC, we decided that we'd had our fill of BBQ and that if we drove/slept in shifts, we'd buy ourselves an additional day either in Denver or somewhere in Utah. It made for a long night, but we made it to Denver this morning.
Along the way I installed the interior/license plate LEDs to compliment the HID upgrade
The Western plains of Kansas were a welcome sight just before entering Colorado

Any updates. Are you home yet?
Sorry for the delay, we got a bit caught up during the latter part of the trip and I didn't have much time for posting. We got home last night and the truck is (hopefully) safe and sound on the ship.
After staying the night in Colorado at a friend's house, we proceeded up to Garden of the Gods.
Took a picture with the balancing rock
Also saw a beautiful 912
From there we started to beat feet towards Utah.
