Yup, I'm averaging 21 MPG since new and it keeps going up. The last tank was 22.0 and the tank prior was 21.5. Considering I commute 75 miles a day it is quite the savings from my Hemi. While it did great for what it was averaging almost 18 day to day, it was custom tuned to 92 Octane and really liked Shell V-Power for $3.70ish per gallon. I couldn't get myself to pull the tune out or drive slow. That Magnaflow just sounded too good.
At any rate, the fuel cost savings is about $130/month with the 4Runner. That is a decent chunk of change.

Awesome! I wish we got that good but I knew going into it what would happen. Last landcruiser got 8 mpg so...there is that. Lol
I love it either way and adding RCI skids next so it’s not over. I’m bound and determined to get 12 mpg with the Offroad trailer I’m building now. Ha!

Tires look awesome! Did you go with standard or E load? Based on your mpg, I’m guessing passenger rated.
How do you like the falkens? I’m having a difficult time deciding between Cooper AT3, BFG KO2, and your set-up. I’ll most likely go with 265, it might step to 275s if price is right.

Question for you with regards to the Spacers and Rear coil springs you installed.
According to Wheeler's, the spacer is a 1.25" lift and the rear springs is about 1.5" lift, didn't that create a more aggressive rake?

The front spacer with the additional lift with the TRD Pro kit was about 2" total while the T13 springs in the rear actually yielded about 1" in the rear so overall about 1" of rake removed.

Painted my factory roof rails black and installed some LFD Off Road bars.

I don't recall exactly. Some kind of black rustoleum or krylon bumper and trim with some kind of etching primer. I ran into walmart the other day and grabbed what they had real quick.
Honestly, I don't understand why people get so excited about the kind of paint used on these rails. It is also a touch ironic how curious folks get about the specific paint used but no one ever questions how they were prepped for paint. The prep prior to painting matters more.
Unless you're talking the differences between powder coat, spray paint, auto paint, plastidip, or vinyl wrap it makes no difference. No one can tell what paint was used and just about any paint will hold up the same. Just use whatever you got.

Um, okay. Sorry to have hit an apparently sore subject. If I was curious what steps you used to prep I’d have asked. Paint prep is pretty basic.
Just curious what paint you used, bud, because there have been several discussions in other threads about durability of paint on rails (compared to vinyl, powdercoat, or plasti-dip). Just acquiring another data point for future reference is all, and curious as to the durability of the paint you selected.
Folks around here generally post build threads to document what they’ve done and help educate others. :thumb: Your finished product turned out well.

No worries and not a sore spot. Just laugh at all the threads about blacking out roof rails and the questions people ask about specific paint type. Seems to be a lot of concern about just the right shade of black and how well one holds up over the other. Whatever will scratch one type will scratch all the same.
If it matters, if I had excess time, I would have cerakoted them. In fact, if for some reason this paint just plain fails or I damage it badly I'll probably strip the rails and cerakote at that time.

I haven't done anything for anyone in over 2 years. Just no time. I maintain my licensing for several reasons but not sure I'll ever get back into it full swing.

Not much of a build update but picked this up on Amazon Prime Day for just under $80. Will probably find a nice spot under a seat or something that is generally wasted and run power down there to keep this thing charged.
