MPG update.

Post purchase:
First tank driving from Chattanooga to Carrollton, ga (and to a tournament) 180 miles and to and from work another 60: 16.3 MPG
Post tune-up:
Second tank driving from Carrollton, to Braselton and back (total 400 miles) and around town on some errands: 20.4 MPG

yanked the swaybars off the truck. Can't imagine why I need them and I like the way the truck feels now better, anyway.

Also made some mosquito nets for the windows. I'm taking the boys to the Petite Lemans this year at Road Atlanta and we will take advantage of the tent camping pass. I still have enough material for the back window so will do that after I get some more magnetic strips:

And I installed a tranny cooler to separate out completely the cooling of the transmission from the radiator. Used a B&M 70268. One thing I did that I don't see anyone else doing is using the old return hose for blocking off the radiator/transmission inlet-outlet. Cuz I'm super cheap. Ol' Tropical Storm Karen washed in so I don't have the hoses checked vs the skid plate yet, but I've got hot fluid going in and cool fluid coming out. I want to rig up an idiot light for the transmission temp, but that will have to wait.

CB Install

installed a CB last weekend. Uniden 520 and a 4 foot Firestick. SWR meter barely moves. 4 feet is way too big!

The uniden 520 is about a half inch too long, and I needed an L on the back end of the CB to get it in that far. I can say definitely get the weird Firestick cables just to help with clearance.
