Unsurprisingly, I hadn't seen any threads on here reviewing the rather inexpensive Tyger nerf bars. My wife was having some trouble getting in to the 4Runner so I wanted to get something installed quickly to solve the problem.
After speaking to the dealer and realizing that getting the automated running boards installed was more than I was willing to spend, I decided to check around. While I would love a set of actual sliders (I am looking at you Shrockworks...) I needed an immediate solution so I found the Tyger nerf bars on Amazon for $136 and free shipping.
They came today and I managed to get them installed during a slightly extended lunch break (probably an hour and 15 minutes with a brief break in between sides). The brackets bolt right over the rocker trim brackets with some beefier bolts. The fit was ok, not perfect but nothing to cuss about. The overall build quality is ok, but I wasn't expecting to be wowed for $136.
