Trying to install this radio in '05 4runner and can't seem to make connections. I have four box connectors and two antenna connectors coming out of dash (appear original) and can plug in both antenna cables and only two of the four box connectors. But, this doesn't make it work - wire probe tells me I'm missing pwr and ground from one of the other connectors that won't plug into radio!!! Is there sposed to be an adapter to make it work/plug in? Also, the car has the jbl synthesis system. Any advice would be appreciated.

The stock connectors will need to be rewired to whatever headunit you are installing. The easiest way to do this would be to get a Toyota wire harness (Amazon.com: Metra 70-1761 Radio Wiring Harness For Toyota 87-Up Power 4 Speaker: Car Electronics). These come with a wiring diagram that easily allows you to make the connections between the wiring harness and radio. You can then just plug the newly wired harness into the stock harness in your dash.

There are two antenna jacks that receive individual input the front and rear antennas. Most aftermarket radios will only accept input from the front antenna. You can utilize both the front/rear antennas if you pick up a couple of adapters (Amazon.com: Scosche Mda-B Micro/Delco Antenna Adapter Tip: Electronics and Amazon.com: METRA Ltd 40-UV43 Motorola Antenna Y-adapter: Electronics)
