Typical 2gen 4runner problems need help

I just got my 93 4runner a couple days ago. The back window switch worked for a little bit then it stopped working. Also the thing (don't know exactly what its called) that moves the antenna up and down runs but does not actually move it up or down. Does anyone know a fix for these two problems? I think something just popped out for the back window switch but i don't know what to do for the antenna going up and down. Any help can be helpful so thanks.

For the antenna I would hit your local junk yard for a replacement.

As for the window, make sure it is still on it's track first. After that, you may have to replace the switches. Does the key switch still work? Check all the wires for corrosion. Worst case scenario you can run a wire directly off the motor to a aftermarket switch and leave it laying in the cargo area.

2nd gen wiring is a mess. I personally have the motor wired to a seperate switch. I got tired of trying to figure out why it would not work.

Just to be clear, you can still control the window with the key from the outside? If so, you know the motor is good. You might try picking up a junkyard switch too.

oh yea sorry the key works with the window it goes up and down with that, just not with the switch which sucks because the key is wore out and dosent want to turn all the time.

Try just replacing the switch. I had to replace two window switches on mine.

My key was hard to turn and I sprayed wd-40 in there a few times and worked it back and forth. It turns real nice and easy now. My key is fairly worn too.
