U-Haul Hitch Conflict

Installed the U-haul receiver to my truck two weekends ago, so this past weekend I decided to double-check torque on the bolts. Not sure how I missed this when installing but the horizontal tube of the receiver blocks access to the harness. In case you were wondering, bolts were still good, right where I set them.
Anyway, I suppose I can just flip the connector upside down in its bracket to lower the whole kajigger, just wondering if anyone else had this issue with theirs.

Yes. My solution was simple: I unbolted the 7 pin connector from the bracket and just let it hang. No problems in 3 years and 30,000+ miles of towing.

That was my backup plan, whip around a zip tie behind the connector shell and let it hang, but I figured something more secure should be in place (this isn't a Jeep, after all).
