The only hard part about installing the spec ride bushing is trying to shove the whole thing in since it's one piece.

Installing the spec ride bushing isn't bad at all. I used a piece of all thread with a nut and big washer on it. Put it through the UCA then slipped the new bushing over it. Another washer and nut went on and I just tightened the nut to "press" it in. You do need to lube the bushing up and get it started on a slight angle so it doesn't tear. I think I did all 4 in 15-20 min.

Camburg also makes uniball UCAs (1.25" vs TC's 1"), not just the balljoint uppers.

I'll be ordering the Camburg UCAs w/ BJs here in the next couple weeks to go with my OME suspension sitting in my garage.

I initially like the idea of the Camburg's w/ ball joints since it uses the stock balls and should be pretty maintenance free. Unfortunately, (unless something's changed very recently) since you reuse the stock balls joints the only way to get a replacement if needed is to order the entire OEM UCA. Toyota doesn't seem to sell the ball joints separately.

After hearing and seeing several LR UCA fail, I decided to bite the bullet and just get the Total Chaos UCAs. Proper maintenance should make them noise and worry free.

The Camburg's can be replaced w/ MOOG ball joints. The MOOG ball joints seem to be slightly oversized for the Camburg's and several people have had difficulty replacing them. People that send them to Wheeler's and let them press the ball joints for them report glowing success.

I'm not trying to suggest that this is THE way to do things, just mentioning additional possibilities....

Lots of people use the Moog BJ's and have no problem. Wheelersoffroad.com even sells them with them installed for an additional cost.

Also factory UCA's are not hard to find, look at all the guys on here with aftermarket UCAs.
