you doing one for cheap and reliable rock lights anytime soon???

I've actually been thinking about it, but don't really get out in rocks much for them to be useful for that to be honest. I would install them more for dealing with spotting for obstacles out on the ranch. Call 'em cactus/snake/bog lights haha

But still a little ways out before those come in to play!

Flux Capacitor installed

I did something similar but mine ended up looking like a flux capacitor.

Nice work! Can you cut that 16" LED strip down to a shorter length and have it still function?

Thanks for the write up! Yesterday was Day 1 of TRDORP ownership and I was tinkering well into the night. When I popped the hood I was surprised to be greeted by darkness. I actually thought my hood light was out until I scoured the area and found that it doesn't have one. So many mods; so little time.

Did something similar to under the hood of my truck two weeks ago with extra sound deadening, added stock insulator, and cyclone lights. Details on my thread with part #'s. Nice job, looks sweet!

Added the under hood lighting

One of the many reasons I love this forum.. One day you're sitting there thinking "dang it, Toyota, how could you not have a light under the hood of the 4runner??"Then I log on here and find like 10 different styles of builds.
I followed quite a few but also always wanted to add some lights in the engine bay to illuminate harder to see areas. I bought the led strip from a computer place called ALTEX and decided to go with the inline fuse and run it straight to the battery since Im gonna want them to work when the cars on or off. The led in the bay are the water proof oznium strips. These are not flexible at all fyi.
I went with the pin switch, which I gotta say I'm not a huge fan of, but I ordered the mercury switch so I may try that later.
