Under the rear seats?

I wondering the same thing the other day. Since I was already off my lazy a$$ looking at it, I looked from underneath. Right under there is the gas tank, drive line and muffler. (Driver side to passenger side.). None of which really extend high enough to justify the Hump all the way across the bottom of the rear seats. (Save the drive line hump found in most rear wheel drive vehicles.)
But one then must ask, what if that hump was not there? Well, the whole rear seat would be lower. There would still have to be a hump for the drive line. There would be very little if any space between the bottom of the floor and the gas tank, and you would probably have a heated rear passenger seat when you did not want one, right over the muffler.
So, unless there is something else between the driverside rear passenger hump and the gas tank, that is where I would try putting a small storage box. It will require great skill in cutting/hacking........Antman.......are you there?

Can't do it. Obviously the Muffler and heat shield prevents that on the rear passenger side. Drive line prevents anything done in the center. I just found a drawing for the gas tank. Even without Skids, I could not see at the top of the gas tank, nor could I reach with my hand. So I was not sure. Now I am. The gas tank is "raised" right at the area of the hump, see drawing. I do not think there is any or enough room under the hump of the drivers side to make it of any use.

There's no room under the floor? Maybe drill an extra antman cup holder or fireproof a burger king bag mod to stash some jewels. Under the floor is gas tank and plumbing on one side and hot azz exhaust on the other.
There is room under the rear seats. I keep a bunch of stuff under them,like tool bag ,first aid kit ,jumpers,extension cord,junk ect.
That would be a good idea for a mod to put some kind of partition on the forward side of the bottom rear seat cushions to organize it and so the junk can't fall out.

I too keep some stuff under the seat but was looking to expand that area.
What's very very wired is that I was lifting up the rear seats to put stuff there but when I read harper mention a partition on the forward side I went out to the truck to see what the hell he is talking about. I swear that I never before noticed the front opening. Never. :ybrick:
