"Unknown quantity" vs "Distinguished road"

Just curious about the little green button under the "Number of Posts" on each submitted entry. When I fly over the button on my posts, it says I am an "unknown quantity at this point," but for others it says they are on "distringuished road." On my user control panel it says I have a "Rep Power of 5." What is rep power? I've been a member for almost 5 years. While it may be true that I am not distinguished, after that much time I thought I'd be at least something more than an unknown quantity!! Thanks. -Ken :sadwave:

Yeah, I wondered if it was post count, too; but then I came upon a member who joined this month, has just 2 posts, and his/her little green button says "[username] is on a distinguished road." Maybe it has to do with how much info you include in your user profile.

i believe it has to do with the heart icon below the green light saying Add to "member name"'s reputation. We do likes on posts instead of reputation usually, but some forums do the reputation as their gauge of success. Hard to explain, but does that make a little sense?
