I assume you are talking about the UCA ball joint? If it is the TRE.. it should have a allen on the end to hold it.
Not normal. It should be torqued to 82 ft/lbs. You probably just have grease down in the spindle taper. Clean it out with a de-greaser of some sort and get it clean... then re-install. Hopefully you can still spin it back off.... if not use a double nut technique to hold it and not destroy the threads.
Based on recent threads... Here is a disclaimer LOL. It might be OK to run it like it is.... My experience is not the same as everyone in the world. The word "destory" is a strong word and should not be taken literally. The threads may be repairable if you clamp on to them directly....They will not explode.
