Urd 7th injector calibration unit problems!

I just recently had to replace the engine in my 1999 4runner. Since then I have had trouble with the cam shaft position sensor. It cranks longer that normal and the check engine light goes on. I replaced the sensor and 2 days later it still did the same thing. My mechanic seem to think the urd calibrator is causing the sensor to go out. Anybody have any experience with something like this?

Sorry to hear, i havent had any issues with my URD 7th.

Best bet would be to first recheck your URD wiring diagram and thinking about it now, if you replaced the engine there is a SLIGHT possibility, dont quote me on this, but if the engine was from a different year or generation of the 3rd generation. maybe the wiring is somewhat different? so now your URD is wired for your 99 4runner but maybe somewhere the engine had a slight change in wiring for a different year?

i have no idea just trying to give you some food for thought.

Also if you havent done so already start trying to email or contact Gadget from URD. there is a chance he may know what might be going on.
