I noticed the front brakes have the holes to accommodate two anti-squeal clips...some call these pad return clips. (Shaped like letter M). Seems that replacement shows only one being installed. Did some research online and other forums and some people are actually placing a second anti-squeal clip on each side. Has anyone else done this to help ensure their brake pads fully spring back after you are done applying the brakes? In theory wouldn’t this help with uneven pad wear? It does seem odd that Toyota only calls for one of these clips on each side vs two which I have seen on many cars. Would love feedback from those who have used two on each side or any brake experts advice on this. Thanks.

the brake pads will make a noise. bleed the brake system .. then when air is in it ,,, the pads will not move back when your foot is off the brake pedal..
if the brakes still make a noise then you remove the brake pads use 220 grit sand paper and sand the rotor in a rotation sanding .. then put high temp anti seize on the brake pad steel backing plate just a paint amount ..
pads will work best will not stick and the NO air in the brake fluid system will create a great braking .
I have done many braking work on my vehicles ,, brake pads last 40-80K miles..wear when changed 60% wear..

1st heard clicking sound on my son's 11' & could never figure out what it was till I saw an old thread about this 2nd clip & bam no more clicking , guess if pads are little loose it keeps em tight , worked for me , don't know about wear issues
yes old vehicles do have the brake pads move too much .. calipers do rust up a bit or wear on the setup position and they can move a bit and make a click sound when the brakes are turned on...
up in the rust belt pads rust up and get sticky and make squealing noises.
many new Toyotas have this squeal noise..dealerships put anti brake noise product on the pad backing plate ..some of the brake pads had to be changed from another pad manufacturer..Toyota ..
