They are Toyota ;) It's good for owners, bad for shoppers! I figured the same thing when I started shopping used first and my wife and I have decided to just buy new instead.

Is that how you spell 4runner in Canada? forerunner?

I ended up buying a new one for the same reasons you have. They dont depreciate much and there is minimal used selection!

As people have already stated, same reason we bought new. Bought the Tacoma new in 09 after seeing that 07 Tacomas were only 3k under what was new. Found the same thing with the 4runner.

All true. Not much depreciation, but just remember that with buying new there is all the b.s. they add on to it. Delivery charges, fees, and of course the GST, and if you're unfortunate enough to live in one of the commie provinces, PST. I'm still not big on the government getting GST on used sales from dealers. Nothing like taxing the same thing twice. Private is definately the way to go, if you can find one.

By the way OP, if you had caught me at a weak moment last month, you could have had mine for 41k. I had it listed on Autotrader and Kijiji for a week and got 5 calls. However, greater forces intervened and the sales idea was squashed.
