Uwharrie OHV 2016 Meet Up Thread

If I can get my power steering pump swaped out by then I'll give it a go. still down from winter fun. I would be down for a day trek that 19th. no desire to camp in north carolina in june.. anywhere. huuuummmidd!

Awesome, thanks for clarifying and thinking about us. I'll mark it on my calendar "tentative" for now and look forward to making it out. Momma will be about 34 weeks preggers by then, so it's hard to say where we'll be and give concrete answer to anything. Gonna try to make it out though boys!

so this will be my wifes bday weekend, as well I dont see a chance in me getting time to change out my PS pump before hand so i think its a no go for me. wish you guys the best of trips though!

Yes we will be there around 9:00. For anyone in the greensboro area that is interested we will be meeting and riding down together. pm me for more info.
 
Ill be at the outpost at 9am this Saturday, June 18th. Probably roll out to the trails at 9:30ish? Plan on dong my usual loop, Wolfs den-falls dam-back side of Daniel all the way to the top!
Might hit dickey bell again if I feel froggy after all of that. I'm really bummed no one got pictures or video of me going up it last weekend.

For those with CB's lets do channel 24 :shrug:

Anyone bringing any little ones along? Might be me and my little dude. He's 3 1/2 now and enjoys offroading. Wife is tentative, 15 weeks prego and might not enjoy the trails as much as I will.
Planning on bringing a packed lunch.
Weather forecast looks good so far. 82 degrees and a chance of awesome 4Runners on the trails :bigok:


Hopefully everyone has a cb or a walkie talkie, if not beep your horn and hell out the window, lol

Josh, channel 24 works, I use to run that trail order.
I would prefer Daniel (front side) though, into Rocky Mount, into Slab, into Wolfs Den then back to Dickey or Dutch John. I don't want anyone to feel pressured into doing Daniel with me though. The first ledge is pretty intimidating. It's like crawling up a 6' wall, then going through a big hole.

PD & Jake, you going to make it out?

Still no definite answer. I've floated it by the wife with no comment from her. Not sure she's gonna make it either way since she'll be over 34 weeks and this baby looks like he's coming early and the fact that my girls would want me around with it being fathers day and all. I'm gonna chalk it up as 'doubtful' status right now.

Not trying the front side for a few years!! lol

I wont have the wife and kid with me this weekend, they went last weekend and had fun, need some me time.
as far as lunch goes, the route I usually take if I start at 9 am im usually done at around lunch with taking breaks that the trail heads and along the trail to watch rigs and talk with people.
We can always meet you at the top of Daniel!!

Sounds about the same for me. Wife really isn't into it (yet) and my daughter is too young. The other times I've done URE have been similar, start around 9ish and done around lunch or just after.

No way in hell am I attempting the front side, lol.

That's just been my experience. Last time I went with some other DD off-roaders and we hit everything minus Dickey, Dutch and the front of Daniel (still did the back) by 1pm. We didn't take our time and certainly didn't take any flexing pics.
