v belts

hey fellas the old belts on my 3.0 are gettin pretty worn out and i was trying to replace them last night which proved to be a complete failure. has anyone posted a diy on replaceing the alternator, power steering, and water pump belts?:fishing:

Changing belts are pretty straight forward. What were you having trouble with? Loosen alternator and PS pump, remove belts, put new belts on, and re-tighten.

If the fan is hanging you up, either snake the belts around it or take it off.

And the waterpump is driven by the timing belt, that one is a little more involved.
 
im pretty sure it shows it in a haynes manual. Either buy one, or go to the library and get one for free. Great material to learn from. Good luck :D
 
Bottom of alternator its a size 14 I believe. Loosen and push towards motor, not need loosen PS I usually snake it off no problem...

AC belt bottom of compressor is the adjuster bolt loosen swivel comp n take off. I will post pics in the morning if your still having problems.
