v6 Water By-pass Hose Leaking

I recently replaced my radiator, thermostat and water pump. Although that was a process with tons of issues itself, everything has been good for the past few weeks. Until that smell was back, that leaking son-of-a-b leaking coolant smell. I first noticed it last on thursday, popped the hood and didn't really see much. The radiator reserve tank was at full, nothing was dripping on the ground. I did see that there was a small leak at the water by-pass hose no. 1, connecting to the water inlet. I cleaned it off, played around with the clamp and though that might be good. took it on a longer trip Saturday, about 100 miles round trip. got back and that smell was there. Popped the hood, same thing. Reserve tank didn't look and less, nothing dripping down, but it looked to be leaking a bit more from the same hose. Picture below (note, most of the spray you see on the front of the throttle body is not coolant, it's magnesium/salt spray from all the ice we've been getting. i took the photo as soon as we had got back).

Should i buy a replacement hose (i believe it to be part 1626150090) and would i need to drain the coolant system to replace it, or simply open the radiator cap to depressurize?

Is there anything other than some sort of damage to the hose that could cause this?

Got everything cleaned up (hadn't drove it). Still leaking somehow. Opened radiator cap, pulled off hose and steady stream of coolant came out so couldn't really check the tip of it. Should I try and replace the hose? Or is there something else causing excess pressure? Judging by the length of the nipple it covers i don't think it's as simple as damaged hose, but then again if it was a blockage there would be a lot more fluid loss etc.

Anyone else ever come across this? Can get the hose and clamps from IT, just want to make sure that's what i'm looking at to fix.

The spring type clamps can, over time, lose their tension and can allow that type of leak when the system comes up to full pressure. Before replacing the hose, you might want to try just replacing the spring clamp with a threaded compression type clamp. I would try removing that end of the hose, cleaning the neck it clamps to, and inspect the inside of the hose for any damage. If it all looks good, just replace the clamp and see how it goes.

Good idea. Checked it again last night when i got home, this original hose was not leaking at all now, but another one, one behind the TB plug, was. So i can see how this is going. I pulled that one and adjusted the clamp, we'll see if holds and which pops up next.

That's it. Just remember to not try to over tighten that type of clamp. They can cut into the hose surface if you do.

Did you stop having Leaks? What hose do you have that is leaking? In the above picture I'm looking for the hose directly below the No. 1 bypass hose. Mine is leaking where that hose connects to a metal pipe. Has anyone heard of this?
