My 05 V8 says 365 mile range (roughly) when I fill it up. I get about 16-19mpg (19mpg is 95% highway) keeping it below 70mph. The post that says 75-85mph is the sweet spot....ridiculous. I would say its around 40-45mph in 5th gear. which would get you 23+mpg....but that is too slow for highway driving in California. Tons of 65mph and 70mph signs to adhere to. Anything below 15mpg (hand calculated) with a light foot on mostly flat ground......something is not running right (efficiently)

I just filled up and the truck said 308 mile range, thats a lot less than your 365 range. I filled up with premium for the first time and although I have not driven very far, the computer is saying almost 16 mpg which I have never seen before. Does running premium fuel increase gas mileage? Truck seems to be running better with the higher grade fuel, or it could just be my imagination.

Yes, the $$ difference between regular and premium pays for itself in my experience. There is document somewhere showing the power difference between grades of fuel FROM Toyota. However, with that being said - the V8 was designed for 3rd world usage - and any gas will work. It doesnt even have an EGR system.
I've run V-Power since day 1. I only get ~275 highway a tank.

I have a 2007 V8 4WD and I seem to average between 14 and 16 MPG (I have oversized tires and wheels with no lift...yet).
- mostly city driving (probably about 70/30)
- I always use mid grade gas (89 octane here in South TX)
- synthetic diff and transfer case oil (probably doesn't make that big a different)
- synthetic blend engine oil
I'd love to get 18 MPG like some of you.
