V8 Timing belt change done, but.....

So I just completed a timing belt, water pump, etc. PM on my 4.7 v8 and everything went as expected.

However, when I got to the last stages of buttoning things up, I had a mystery bolt. Doh!

When I started bolting back on the fan shroud I had 3 identical 10mm bolts laying next to it on my table. I looked around for 20 minutes and could only find homes for two of them. Where the hell does that third bolt go? FSM only shows two directly fastening the shroud to radiator.

If someone has recently been into theirs, or is about to, and you notice three bolts associated with the fan shroud, please comment about their locations.

Thanks.

Radiator overflow jug?

Radiator overflow jug?

 Yep. Couldn't see that sucker hiding under the jug and behind the oil cooler tube. Good night's sleep and walked out this morning and it was staring me in the face.

The job wasn't too bad, but doing it in one push made for a long day and I guess I was running on fumes towards the end.

Thanks.

If anyone has any questions about timing belt/water pump/tensioner/serpentine belt/etc. hit me up while it's still super fresh in my head.

Nice work accounting for all the bolts. Did you make sure the crank position sensor wiring was routed right, so it doesn't rub against the AC compressor pulley?

Glad you were able to figure it out. I did mine over the course of a couple of days. Normally I'm not this meticulous but was terrified of screwing up this job so before hand I had printed out a bunch of FSM diagrams and then circled where are the parts came from as I worked and put the associated diagram and bolts/nuts/hardware into individual ziplock bags. Made it a lot easier putting back together. Especially for those where bolts were slightly different lengths for the same part.

Yep. Thanks for mentioning though, I could see how it would be easy to overlook.
