Thank you so much. I should have just searched for coil pack.
Just pull one bolt out, go to Lowes bolt dept, screw it into the tread gauge. That will tell you what size it is.Hate to bring up an older thread, but was anybody able to find this bolt? Doing my valve covers and need to replace one of these bolts and my local dealership is claiming that no dealership has this bolt any longer as its discontinued. I see camelback has it, but I'd rather not pay $20 for an 80 cent bolt.
Anybody happen to know what size it is so I can pick one up from a hardware store?

I took another bolt to HD and it was an M6 flanged bolt.
Sorry for reviving an old thread, could not find a more recent discussion on valve cover bolt size:
blarblarjosh (or anyone), do you happen to recall the thread pitch of the M6 bolts you purchased?
Right now i'm replacing all fuel injectors on my 5VZ and it's funny how loose all valve cover bolts were when I checked them. I tried to hit em with my torque wrench but with the past experience of cracking my original covers and having to salvage used ones from a junkyard, I was afraid of using my torque wrench as it wasn't clicking so I just used my open end wrench and snugged them all in an X pattern (loosened all bolts first then tightened).
My theory is the grommets get soft over time and need to be tighten every once in a while.
The key is to check and tighten them over time because the washers do harden and shrink, allowing oil to pass the gasket, which then speeds the decline of the gasket itself.Right now i'm replacing all fuel injectors on my 5VZ and it's funny how loose all valve cover bolts were when I checked them. Stick to the torque recommended in the FSM, it's designed around the VC casting strength, or lack thereofI hear ya. Maybe i'll make it a standard to check them every 3 months or so to ensure they are snug. They haven't been touched in 3 years until I overhauled the injectors a couple days ago and checked them because "I was there." The grommets just kept getting squished and squished with more tightening - no big deal though.
