Valve Cover Gasket Set - Vincos branded

Getting ready to gather the necessary pieces to replace the valve cover gaskets and related parts.
Have reviewed most of the threads as well as videos so I know what parts I need.
My neighbor gave me a Vincos branded set as pictured below he bought on Amazon a couple years back. He totaled his truck before installing so gave to me.
Was intending to go Ishino Stone or Toyota for the all parts but considering using these and going Camelback, etc for remaining parts.
Anybody have experience with these Vincos gaskets, Amazon reviews seem positive.

I would give some thought to how much it would suck if you had to do this job twice. Lot of time involved.

I’d go oem and once and done but that’s just me. You might get lucky.

I went with all Toyota oem for mines. Still holding after 4 yrs and 70k miles.
No experience with Vincos brand. You could be fine installing that brand since you got it for free. But keep in mind you may have to do it over again if the brand isn't up to par in gasket materials.
Don't forget your 2 cam plugs and Toyota fipg to redo your half moons to complete the job properly. Hate for you to omit those and later have to go back in to address them.

Yep, would totally suck if the gaskets leaked especially with all the labor involved. Just needed someone to remind me not to cheap out.
Putting together an online order now from Conicelli Toyota as i’ve done every other time before. I should just have my pay check sent directly to them!

*PCV & Grommet
*FIPG
*Intake Plenum Gasket (2)
*Spark Plug Seals (6)
*Throttle Body Gasket

Already have spark plugs and ignition wires. Clean & reuse the half moons.
Hoping this takes care of my oil leaks and no leaky RMS as well, that would really be a drag.

Alot of these companies are just reboxing other people's parts. For any given part, I bet there's only a small handful of distinct manufacturers. That being said, the science behind elastomers is pretty well known these days and I can't imagine any company in the gasket/seals business to screw this up that badly.

I was very good about OEM only on my motor rebuild when deeper in there but this is a small enough job that I didnt mind comparing a Felpro gasket to OE(also OE was a week out and Felpro was same day) and wouldnt be a big deal to do-over being that i already did it over once since the rebuild(for a vac leak) and im getting pretty good at it. Very little difference in the 2, Felpro seemed to be the same hardness and hasn't leaked since :wacko:

I didnt replace my plenum and TB metal gaskets as they were in great shape already but that may not be your case, mine had about 10k on em. you can usually clean them up pretty well.

^ Yup I do try to go OEM when possible, and especially for critical parts. But sometimes the price markup on OE is too ridiculous so I don't mind going with a quality aftermarket brand. eg. Fel-pro are experts in gaskets, and for oil seals/bearings I would have no issues going with Timken/SKF.
