Love the way your car looks!!! looking at your mod list: toytec diff drop kit? did you have to modify or change anything with your TRD pro skid in order to compensate for the drop?

Thanks! Had to fiddle around with the skid plate with the spacers and get some new bolts that were longer to make it work. My buddy installed it thought so unfortunately I couldn't tell you exactly how to make it work.

Those ray10’s are sick!!! Ive just found out about the scs wheels. What’s the deal with them? Out of stock all the time?

Yeah Ray10s are nice but they're always sold out. Very high demand, but with little supply. They usually restock once every month or so, but they sell out instantly.

Yeah, Your Pro looks good!! As for the Ray10’s. I have the same color Pro 17 and thinking about Stealthcustom wheels. I had the Stealth 6’s on my Tacoma I sold. I think the Ray10’s look good but I’m leaning towards if I decide to change my wheels out I like the F5’s in the black. Nice clean look and easy to clean. I think they would look awesome. It is tough to get the Ray 10’s because he does not get a lot to buy when the shipment come in.

The classic "legend" walker evans wheel is solid IMO.

With regard to your taller rear springs and longer rear shocks I have some questions for you:

Did you check the brake lines at full flex to see if they are over-extended?

Did you increase the height of your bump stops to protect the shocks on full compression?

Are you running the stock rear sway bar end-links or did you lengthen them to bring the sway bar back to the normal position?

Pretty sure that the brake lines are not over extended. If that was a concern when lifting the rear, then I feel like companies would be putting disclaimers out or including rear extended brake lines with their coils. So far so good.

I did not get new bump stops yet, but I want to get some new ones soon.

Thank you for the kind words! I definitely think there are better looking runners on this site, but hey that's just me! I do have black plates that start with an H. I am in the OC area so that was probably me. You'll recognize my stickers on the back window lol

Or it could be cuz it doesn’t need any additional parts to work. I remember MaxTrax spindles come with extended brake lines because you needed them. They made extra money selling the extra brake lines. So it’s money making for them if another component is needed.

As an owner of the brushed copper Ray10s, I bet you could powdercoat your current wheels to match pretty closely. It's probably the direction I would've headed into had I not been able to get my set.

The only problem with a lot of gold-ish colors is that they're not very UV stable, meaning they'll fade/crack pretty fast. You'll want to read carefully about the characteristics of the colors, and apply clear powder if necessary.

I really want to get the brushed copper SCS. Like BADLY. I missed out in December cuz I was stuck helping customers out at work that I missed the release time...

I am hoping that SCS releases the brushed copper next month during their restock. I really dont wanna risk cracking, or sacrificing wheel integrity due to powdercoating after the fact.

QUICK UPDATE!
I got a Magnaflow 18" Muffler put on a couple weeks ago, I will try to get a good sound clip of it for those of you who wanted to hear an audio sample.

I also installed the ToyTec diff drop, and man what a pain in the arse it is to put on to the TRD Pro with the Pro skid plate. I had to get new bolts and kind of jerry rig the spacers and such to retain my factory Pro skid plate with the diff drop. Definitely something that ToyTec needs to look into because it is not convenient.

Did you get the 12586?... I have that one on currently, but my TRD Pro is on the way and debating bring it over or seeing if I should get a louder muffler. My 12586 is pretty mild.

That looks to be the bigger muffler if I am not mistaken, and I opted for the 18" Magnaflow muffler instead to get a little more growl from it. It's all up to your personal preference. My 18" Magnaflow is perfect in terms of loudness, not having drone, etc.

that duratrac is a D or E rated , does it feel heavy rolling down the road with that LT rated rubber ?

I will assume you had to trim the plastic bumper for clearance how about the front MudFlaps ? and what is the wheel OffSet ?

Really want to get some new wheels. I’ve been running methods on my trucks for the last 4 years or so. I want something new.

Missed out on Brushed Copper SCS Ray10s back in December, couldn’t get them on the restock. I really want those but those are so hard to come by. Any other wheel suggestions that would look good on my setup?

Was just wondering something, a little while back you mentioned you didn't want to run Ray 10s with 285 Duratracs because it might need a body mount chop. I'm a little concerned because I was thinking of running exactly that setup (I actually got a set of matte black Ray 10s in the latest shipment just last night). Searched around but couldn't find any references of anybody needing that drastic a mod as long as they had a lift and aftermarket UCAs. Where did you hear of those problems?

And seeing now you're looking for a new set in bronze - what changed?
