Vegas: 2012 Trail build thread

I thought you might like this or hate me for showing it to you after you did black

http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip_GunMetal
Why would you show this to me? What a jerk.... The guy didn't even take off the tire or mask the car, took him a few mins for what took me an hour.... Well at least I can change it to gun metal in a fraction of the time so for that I thank you.
Off to the power washer for you!!!

Re-do it in gunmetal!:hungry:

Seriously.

Let me be all murder out for a week or at least as long as it takes me to finish doing this lift... What time you stopping by to bench press the sway bar back in for me???

Just a quick update on my latest MOD completed courtesy of my GF.... Wait for it... Wait for it... Look closer...

I know, she took the rubber cup holder out to magically make it a bigger cup holder.

I wish... she somehow pulled her cup out to throw it away and didn't notice that that black rubber insert wasn't part of her Starbucks cup.... That's my baby :)

Repeat after me.... It's just a car... It's just a car... It's just a car... Now take a deep breath don't you feel better?
(Pause)
No, no I do not

That is hilarious..............since it was not my rig of course:lmao:

They must grow the Starbucks cups larger in Vegas. The cups here don't sqeeze in the rubber piece.

It is showing $25.57 retail price. Just think of it as you bought her a lovely $30 Cup of Joe.

So wait wait wait you're telling me I am out $30 and my Gf borrowed my truck while I get to drive my boring company Camry and she is most likely drinking a Big Gulp or Colt 40oz and is recklessly throwing cup holders in the trash?

Wow... Well it looks like I'll be purchasing a gobi and rigid lights before her ring if this disregard for other people's property continues.

Yea, screw Diamonds are forever.....more like Gobi and Rigids are forever:whoo:

Quick update... Just installed LEDs in the interior... Quick warning be super careful with the dome light removing that light was a little tricky at one point the entire light housing that holds the bulb starting twisting.... Not going to lie it was a little scary that it was going to disappear under the headline f-o-r-e-v-e-r and rattle. No pics cause this mod has been done lots...

Got my CB here waiting to install so I figured it made sense while I run have to run the wire to the rear hatch I might as well run the wires for my future roof rack lights and while I am running the wire I guess I should do some sound deadening as I go? And those lights will need switches so might as well put those in and install a painless Aux fuse block to power it...and i found my old powered sub from my SR5 i had it originally installed by pro, so i might as well throw it in while i have the car in pieces? so I wonder if I will ever put the car back together? Game on...

Waiting for UPS man to drop off the fuse block and wiring kit for the Sub and oh yeah the cable for the CB....

Looks like you've got a fun weekend coming up Vegas!

Okki

I had such high hopes for MOD-Mania this weekend but then this just happened...

Pipe froze overnight so now I have to try to fix this first.... I guess? Nope its confirmed... My Girlfriend says so :(

So now I gotta hit a plumber forum to learn about pipes and stuff.... I hope it's not as addicting and expensive as this forum....

Bummer how plans change so quick. I was suppose to be in Tahoe with the girl and then I got shingles and have been bed ridden for 4 days.

Good luck with the fix and keep those mods going.

Shingles!! Frozen Pipes!!!! Neither of those situations sound remotely fun, I'm hiding…. :behindsofa:

Truck is coming right along Ramsey!!! Love it!!! Great work man!

That is high praise from you sir... Thanks Shawn!

Did you go with the Painless CirKit Boss kit?

Yeah cause I couldn't get a hold of eric @wagon wired.... but for the life of me I couldnt figure which model to go with... they seemed pretty similar (to me) just differnt combination of key-power and constant, and facy dust/water cover.... Probably different Amps etc.... But I got the Painless Wiring 70207 Aux.Fuse Block 7Circuit ... I hope it is good enough to power the switches and future roof rack lights.... If not Ill have to upgrade down the road. The Blue sea block was a nice option too but this one is called "Painless" and since my wiring skills are low it seemed like a good idea.

Cool - I went with the 72107 kit and I'm happy with it. Pretty simple install, but PM me if you have any questions!

Thanks for the offer I will for sure take you up on it...I try to check the web and search the forum before I ask too many stupid questions... But I will for sure have plenty of newb questions.

I need to recheck jango's and Okie's write up on their roof rack lights. I am wiring my cb when the painless arrives so i figured since I have to run the antenna cable to the rear i would also run the wire at the same time for the future lights and just keep them rolled up by the little jack till I get some lights. Just need to figure out what gauge and how many to run....
