Looks well made. My comment was probably a little "direct". I didn't mean it harshly, just wouldn't make a bunch because of the cheap alternatives out there that are also easy to unclip and take with you. Fabric for that location probably makes more sense just due to low cost and flexibility.
Where I think there's potential for a rigid molle type panel not currently on the market is the inside of the driver's side rear door. Basically covering the window area. For people who actually go live in these things - they're usually only themselves or +1 passenger. Having a rack on the inside of the passenger door would be an ideal spot IMO to have things like fire extinguisher and first aid kit readily available. The driver's side rear door pockets are where I keep all my quick need trail stuff when I'm out exploring. Like the winch remote, etc. It's the easiest place to get to that isn't also in your lap or on the passenger seat side floor area. I have no idea how you'll attach it though. I haven't had the rear door trim off, so I don't really know what's inside. And the top rim of the door?? I glue? double sided tap? I'm not sure. But that is one spot where a flat rigid rack would be really handy. Especially if it sat maybe 6" inside the window. Then you could roll down the window for access to thin items hung on one side and open the door for access to items on the on the inside.
The other thing I've seen that I like is the rear gull winch hatch system for the LC80's. No one has something similar for the 4R. Not sure how much market there is for it, but if I were using my 4Runner as an actual overland vehicle, not a camping truck, that would be high on my to-do list.
