I bought the VLEDS H11 LED conversion kit for my 2010 4Runner during their July 4th sales. I expected this to be an easy install. I just recently sold my Tundra and Subaru Legacy and consolidated into the 4Runner.
I've never seen a truck/suv that makes it more difficult to get to the low-beams. The high's aren't really an issue but the lows are blocked by chassis metal resulting in a thing gap to the bulb fixture. Because of the metal fan shroud, there isn't enough of a gap to install and I can't see any way around it.
I know this is a popular change and many users have performed it. My question is, does the entire headlight assembly need to be removed? Am I missing something obvoius? Never seen such a tight bulb placement before...
