Hate to revive an old thread, but does anyone know the diameter of the tube protruding into the fender-well?

I Have a custom Stainless Snorkel coming for my rig, and want to make sure its going to be compatible before ordering this intake.

Just saw this now!! I wrote my tech at Volant and they said they will get back to me when they can measure it. BUt, they think it's at least 4" for the inlet. The side fender inlet is way bigger than the front one.

Also, these boxes work great if you have headers! The give double the gain with the headers installed.

The fender outlet of the airbox has a 5.0” outer diameter. Just was able to have my guy check and measure it. Damn, 5" is huge! Hope this helps?

Hi All,

I have the K&N kit and it worked great with the TRD stainless CAT back dual exhaust. 4runner now doing soccer mom duties, so the K&N removed and TRD exhaust might be next...
