Vsc, Vsc trac, skid lights

Last year these lights would come on randomly while driving and now they come on as soon as I touch the brakes with the engine started. I have tried to do to a zero point calibration but couldn't get it to work.

Codes pulled were

C1202 - Brake fluid level warning fault
C1223 - Fault in ABS control system
C1249 - Open circuit in stop light switch circuit.
B1241 Body ECU switch circuit diagnosis.

I replaced the brake switch and now my abs works but all other lights are still on. Hoping for any advice before I take it into the shop. I have tried disconnected the battery. Need to get this fixed because the wife went into the ditch last week.

Well.. Could try topping off the brake fluid.. No idea on the circuit diagnosis code.

Confused as to whether those codes listed in your post are the current ones, or if those were the ones you had before the Stop light switch replacement. If it's the latter, then you should probably re-scan for codes to see what's remaining and go from there.

Buy a new "stop lamp assembly switch". It takes a minute to swap it out and your problem will be gone.

I had the same problem on my 2006, it would happen randomly but then it started happening immediately just backing out of the driveway

Update :

After about 3 years of having these lights on I finally took it to a dealership. They were running a promotion in which they would turn your dash lights off/ run diagnostic for free. They pulled error code C1336. They did a zero point calibration and the lights stayed off.

I had tried to do a ZPC at home with no luck. My only regret was waiting so long to have it looked at.

I had the same issue and fixed it using this procedure.

My 2003 4Runner was showing a code of C1336. Apparently using the OBD2 scanner caused this issue in the first place.
