It is certainly annoying trying to find the gremlin isn't it? That part takes about 34 seconds to switch out, so you will see an immediate change in the lights if it is that part. Good luck with round 3!

How does it come off underneath? Do I have to take the lower finish panel under the steering wheel and then brake pedal to replace this little piece of plastic?

Once codes are thrown they are stored in the computer until they are reset or you disconnect the battery. Have you used a scan tool or taken it somewhere that they can pull the codes for you? Like [MENTION=118912]07Profiteer[/MENTION] my lights came on, pulled the codes, showed EVAP related, checked the gas cap and and realized it didn't matter how many times I clicked it, it felt like it was just pushed on. Got a new one and problem solved. I scan and reset all through the free Techstream download software and cheap Ebay purchased USB OBD-II. Worth the $20 just using it once and you can use it to program customer preference settings without having to take it to the stealership and pay their outrageous fee. Really need code numbers to do good trouble shooting.

Mine came on and it was due to a bad seal on my gas cap. Once replaced they went off and have not come back.

Do I have to take the brake pedal off just to get to this?

Just from experience, I would say all of them but a lot of them
