im glad you figured it out. i tried that method before the calibration and it would come back on everytime i went over a bump or up my driveway. disconneting the battery resets the ecu so im glad it worked. maybe your gas cap was loose, that causes the trac and vsc lights to turn on also.
I spoke too soon! They came back. This is going to be a nightmare to troubleshoot since its only sometimes. The only thing that changed significantly is the weather here in Houston. We got a hell of a cold front (for us at least). Although I was driving late last night when it was cold and no lights were on then.

That's what was happening to mine; mornings, only cold. Once I got the brake light switch replaced, it was gone.

Still having this problem. Do you have a part number for the brake light switch?
I can't pull the codes because they show up intermittently, only while the engine is running :/
I'd almost just replace the brake light switch, I think it's like $20 on Amazon and takes about 60 seconds to replace.

Mine came on and it was due to a bad seal on my gas cap. Once replaced they went off and have not come back.
Technically speaking, if I removed the gas cap shouldn't it come on? Also, how'd you figure this out?

Once codes are thrown they are stored in the computer until they are reset or you disconnect the battery. Have you used a scan tool or taken it somewhere that they can pull the codes for you? Like [MENTION=118912]07Profiteer[/MENTION] my lights came on, pulled the codes, showed EVAP related, checked the gas cap and and realized it didn't matter how many times I clicked it, it felt like it was just pushed on. Got a new one and problem solved. I scan and reset all through the free Techstream download software and cheap Ebay purchased USB OBD-II. Worth the $20 just using it once and you can use it to program customer preference settings without having to take it to the stealership and pay their outrageous fee. Really need code numbers to do good trouble shooting.

Was not aware codes were stored in NVRAM. So Techstream is a free open source code analyzer? Do you have link's to what you used?

It is certainly annoying trying to find the gremlin isn't it? That part takes about 34 seconds to switch out, so you will see an immediate change in the lights if it is that part. Good luck with round 3!
