Wahoo new 2014 TE Premium 4Runner

Thanks for all the tips guys, I've been trolling a lot of boards and the funny threads about the 4Runner vs the Grand Cherokee pushed me over the edge.

So I am the owner of a new 2014 TE Premium

This will be my 3rd 4Runner and I had a few questions:

- this darn thing didn't come with cross bars, so what's the deal? call the dealer and order 'em up? are they easy to install? or go to REI and get something else?

- this darn thing didn't come with a cargo cover. is there an aftermarket one that works or another fun trip to the dealer?

- would someone kindly link me to the maintenance schedule?

- is $1800 a decent upcharge for the 100k/7 year warranty?

8/125 should run around 14/1500 on average or slightly less. please don't discuss actual contacts openly in the forums, use Private messages to get contact info or search the threads.

the other stuff, is not standard unless you get that option or have it dealer installed. better to get it 3rd party oem items for cheaper or get 3rd party replacements.

Congrats. Cross bars are a snap to put on. There is a sticky on how to. Use the paint lid opener method.

Before ordering cross bars, think about if you want to replace the rails with a rack first.

Also, the factory cargo cover is expensive and sucks. The rear seats can be tilted back so there is a HUGE gap from the cover to the back seats, then there is another HUGE gap from the other side of the cover to the lift gate. Almost useless I'd make something yourself out of some thin plywood or paneling and cover with fabric or something instead.

I'm not getting anywhere near that level... everything I hear is 1.5x+ that.

congrats and nice rig! the extended warranty can be had for half of what you were quoted. crossbars and cargo covers are all over EBay CL and this website. I have a factory cargo cover I will sell to you

just tell the dealer you can buy the platinum warranty for 890$ on the internet and they will price match if they want your business
