Wait for BFG KM3 or go Falken Wildpeak MT?

Just adding a shameless plugs. My intel says that the new Falken MT test results show performance at or above the Goodyear KM2. I haven't heard a single poor review on them. This is a full new redesign and is not comparable to any other Falken Tire previously offered. Please understand that Falken has made serious and massive changes in their product quality. The newer tires coming out are still at the same excellent price brackets, but are designed to completely change people's opinion of the brand.

I have AT3Ws on my '16 TEP, and was very impressed this last weekend in the heavy mountain ice we had. Made it everywhere in 2wd, despite the untreated icey roads.

If you ignore the super shitty and weak sidewall they're great.

My KM2's sucked and KO2's suck, so I'll probably stay away from BFG for good.

I've heard good things about the Fallen M/T in rocks, however I do hear they're pretty soft, aka wear out quickly.

My personal choice is the Goodyear MTR. There isn't a better tire out there. I drive about 20,000 miles a year on mine and they've never let me down.

The sidewalls are weaker than the two mentioned but they're not that bad. The tires are flippin fantastic and if you're just doing trails then the sidewalls aren't a huge deal. I had 20k on mine before selling my vehicle and only went through 4mm of tread (came with 18mm) so the tread life can be great if rotated properly (rotated mine every 5k)
These are fairly light vehicles so it's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. I wouldn't put them on a diesel though. I off roaded many times with no issues

Has anyone had any real hands on experience with the Falken's new MT tires? From some online reviews they seem to say it is a good balance for on road and off road performance. I will be 80% on road and 20% off road most of the time.

No idea when the KM3s are ever going to come out. its begining to seem like an unicorn that will never make it to market. Was only holding off for it because of such high praises people have for the KO2s.

Any opinions are welcome.

Good to hear! They look great on your rig. I was initially considering the Falken MT's but couldn't find anybody that had any feedback on road noise. Ended up with the less aggressive Wildpeak AT3W.

I have been riding on Grabber A/T2s for 7 or 8 years in the 265/70/16 size, and they were getting weather cracked, so i have been looking at tires. The Grabbers still had 10/32 nds on them. I went to Discount and got some 265/75/16 Falken MT load range E just installed today. What a difference, the Falkens have less noise, yes i said less road noise, and much smother ride on the road discount said they put 35 psi, and from the looks of them after driving for a few miles the fronts look like they are touching the pavement all the way across the tread, and the rears are not quite touching on the outside edges, and am happy with that. I am very happy i went with the Falken mt's. I will update when i get more miles, and get them dirty.

Talked to the BFG rep at a recent 4WP Jeep Expo and said the KM3 will release in the US in early 2018. Already available in Australia and a few other countries. Why not in US? He had no idea

I am running the km2 and couldn't be any happier. However, I'm very interested in falken tires since the Toyota world seams to be falling heads over heals for them.
the km2 does nut buzz like most m/t tires and provide amazing grip on every terrain, not just mud.

I've had falken wildpeak a/t before and they were the best tires ive used yet. Had them on a wrangler, but they wore very well, quiet on road, excellent in snow and good offroad
