Wait.. The Sunroof Can Come Completely Off?

How?

For the years I have owned this I only thought the sunroof could tilt. Now I heard it is removable.

How? I do not see an obvious way! Lol.

When you have your sunroof on tilt mode you will see the chromed metal pins in the latch that have a spring between them that you will press in
with your thumb and index fingers, and that will release the glass from the sunroof latch, and if you still have it, undo the safety ''hook'' on the drivers side of the sunroof, and the rest you will figure it out.

LMAO yea the sunroof completely comes off. I've taken mines off a few times, but its a kinda PIA to take it off, store it, and then reattach it. You just have to press the chrome latches in when you have it tilted up and itll pop out.

Whoa I didn't know you could squeeze those pins too! I jsut thought the outer ones were squeezable for the tilt.

The sunroof on first gen 4runners don't slide at all.

Aah, I see now. I missed the 1st gen part. And the sunroofs on the 2nd gens don't tilt up. Gotta go newer to have it all.
