Walker Quiet Flow muffler, problem with fit

Anyone else have a problem fitting a walker quiet flow ss muffler to the pipe coming off the cat?

I ordered the Walker #54681 for my 2002

The flange and pipe coming off the cat will not fit close enough into the muffler flange. I would need like 12 or so gaskets to fill the space.

The muffler that I took off was the exact same make and part number that someone else put on. something is not right.

Just return it, it's a POS. Mine is not even 2 years old and I feel like it is going to get a rust hole in the side within this next year...
