A word of warning for anyone thinking about purchasing Dorman products via Walmart.
Walmart WILL NOT honor Dorman's limited lifetime warranty.
I've been attempting to warranty a faulty transfer case motor for my 4th gen and all I'm getting is the classic run around. Dorman says I need to initiate the warranty claim through the point of purchase. When I contact Walmart, they tell me I cannot warranty the product because it is past their 90 day return window. The Walmart associate saw the product listing and saw the limited lifetime warranty stated on the page but was still unable to assist.
I've read from others that the warranty process was seamless via Amazon so I guess that's where I'll purchase any other Dorman products (if I'm desperate enough).
