I know people have touched on this before but wanted to add my story to the list. I bought my 2005 4R a year ago with 68k miles on it. Since owning it it always drove straight and true, very stable and no issues. Ive put 10k miles on it in exactly one year. Last weekend I rotated my tires front to back because they were due. Now driving my truck is like hearding cats down the road. It wont track, its twitchy and it pulls to one side. All the tires have minimal wear with no cupping or shaving of inner or outer tread. Ive checked to make sure they are all seated properly and retorqued them but its still the same? The Tires are Mastercraft Courier AT they seem like nice tires and have performed well up until now.....

What gives?

im curious to know as well. Have you had an alignment done? Just had an alignment and my 5100s installed and it still has a slight wander at speed.

Im getting it aligned this week, the thng is it shouldnt behave differantly with a rotation of 4 matching tires....thats teh messed up part imho.

Have your guy check wheel & re balance, had the same prob. on my taco bad wheel & threw a weight !

I had the same issue with mine until I changed tires. When I bought it the tires were ok with about 8/32 tread. It would track left or right on any variation on the road. I had the alignment checked and tires balanced with no help. I put new tires on in Nov and it now tracks perfectly straight down the road - eave accross the studed tire wear grooves on the freeway. I could not believe the difference.

Sooooooo......I had the wheels balanced, a slow leak fixed and an alignment and my truck drives fine. The only thing that comes to mind is they said I had a tire with higher than normal road force so they dissmounted it rotated it 180 and reinstalled it and it was much better. Nothing explains why my rotation caused it to act wonky though.....

All tires have an inherent pull to them and very rarely are two tires the same. Take it to a shop that can do a balance with a proper tire pull test. The balancer can tell them what position to put the tired for the least pull.
