Wanna build your own electronics?

Do you plan to build your own electronic circuit? to turn on something at your desired time and turn off at another time? Temperature readers? Pressure readers? Cell phone bluetooth connection? Basically anything you'll like.

I came across this circuit called Arduino when I talked to a friend of mine. He makes all crazy electronics.

It is simple according to his explanation.

Circuit works on 5 V and can use a car cell phone charger to power it through a mini USB.
Steps:
Attch the device to a PC/Mac through the USB. Open the program (which is free on the net). Program the circuit the way you want

they have been around for a long time. I took a class in college last year which we wrote code for arduino to run a device.

I build a toaster with a 9 digit key pad and LCD screen where you can input your time to toast and automatically pops back up after the countdown clock has ended. all controlled by the arduino.

for our final we made a hydrogen cell generator for my old truck.

what would really be cool is to make a progressive controller for a water meth set up!

Yep, last time I played with an Arduino was about 7 years ago. I use a Raspberry pi at home. They are fun little devices that are good for learning.

Light Bar controller

Has anyone considered building a lightbar controller using an Arduino board and a lcd touchscreen? Certainly seems feasible from my limited research. Likely would be more cost effective and better looking than some of the name brand switch panels on the market.
