I was at the toyota dealership here in Cincinnati and offered them $22,000 on a toyota 4runner sport with sunroof, jbl audio and they were asking 23,900 and they didnt take it.... What is a good price to get one for???

They want to much! With the market the way it is you should get it for $19k. They are crazy to want more and not take your offer.
I'd give them my number and ask them to call you when they want to sell the car for your offer. Don't go by what bluebook says these days. Hang in there!

I bought a new 2008 SR5 V8 last week with a sticker of just under $34k for $25,750.

I can't see paying over $20K for a used 3 year old 4runner.

i went to about 6 different dealerships in the nj/ny/pa area looking at different sports. they were all listed absurdly high and would not come down. the one i bought was listed at 24k and got them to 21.8 with those "perks".

i guess where you live is different.

Yes I am sure she did. I had my eye on the truck for a while. She originally had it up for much more. 24,500 I think. Then it dropped to 22,000. I first offered 18,000 and we settled at 18,800. I would have paid 20,000.

That is too high. I just bought my 06 sport v8 in late November and I got it out the door for $21,600 with 28k miles. Certified and brand new tires (although not the greatest tires), and I also got the extended warranty.

Now a couple of months later, and with the 09 soon to be release, that dealer is dumb to be wanting so much. Just hang in there, you find one. I even hear on the news that in WI, one dealership was doing buy one get one free on any car/truck on their lot.
