Thanks for this, I just ordered one. ~$445 shipped including tax so $300 for a Warn after the rebate. I strongly considered a Badlands before seeing this post but the HF schtick of offering a 90-day warranty upgradeable to 1 or 2 years ($70 & $90 respectively IIRC) gave me serious pause despite the good reviews. Warn offers a solid warranty so this was a no-brainer.
What do you mean by the rebate being iffy? I've already submitted the form and have a confirmation that Warn received it.
One tip for anyone taking this (smokin'!) deal: the Warn form has two required fields under the one title of Part #. That seemed weird but the p/n is WRN103252 so I just put WRN in the top field and 103252 in the other and it worked. And BTW, you get 100 points for joining Northridge 4x4's rewards and a point per dollar so it's another 420 points for this purchase and the combined 520 will get you a $10 gift card to their site.
Obviously I haven't received the item yet so we'll see how it goes with the shipping and such. Some reviewers complained of receiving beat-up boxes but there seem to be a number of companies around the country with the name Northridge 4x4 so it's tough to decipher what reviews belong to which. At least it was at midnight when I needed to be up at 5am. LOL
EDIT: Just received the shipping notification. Winch will be here Friday.
