Warning lights! Lots of 'em!!

This afternoon, my wife pulled our 15 DAY old 4Runner out of the garage.

She noticed 4 lights: VSC OFF, VSC Track, "check engine," and one that looks like a car with squiggly lines... like a traction thingie.

We pulled back into the garge, and called the dealership. They asked us to identify a few buttons that don't exist, (lower left side of dash, under the steering wheel), "turn the car on... still there?" Yes. "Turn it off. Turn it on. Still there?" No! Wait... yes...

"Okay, well bring it in on Monday morning..."

So... Why would a car with LESS THAN 800 miles, and 15 days old be shwoing us these lights already?

I'm just GUESSing here, that it's some kinda funky thing that just needs a reset. Why else would 4 different lights come on at the same time?

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

the light with the squiggly lines is the light for hill-start assist, but according to the manual, when the system is working the light flashes and an alarm sounds, and unless your driveway is a steep grade to the street, it's probably not activated...it sounds like an electrical issue and not necessarily a problem with the traction control or engine...i agree that it's prob something stupid, but frastrating i know when it's a new vehicle.

IIRC, it's a probably with one of the O2 sensors that's causing all the lights to come on.

With the truck just over two weeks old, definately let the dealer sort it out.

yeah most likely an O2 sensor. i had the same thing happen to me about 3 months after getting the truck. just take it to your dealership and have them replace it free under warranty. call to see if the have the part in stock or else you might have to go back a second time like i did.

its fine to drive cause its just the sensor thats blown.
