Can You Wear a Watch While Golfing? | Crown & Caliber Blog

One mistake from the article...underwater pressure ratings have very little to do with shock absorption. So, a Submariner or Sea-Dweller may not be any better than other mechanicals just because of its underwater rating.

There are pages and pages of debates on watch forums and other sports forums. Some say no, some say yes.

For me, spending thousands on a watch is not something i want to risk damage.

Happy Friday!

I am literally fond of wrist watches and now have faced such a dilemma, when I need to sell some of the watches from my collection. And first of all, I've decided to sell my Fossil(photo is in the attachment of this post). Of course, I don't want to sell my watch but because of some life obstacles, I have to do that. What do you think of them? How much money can I receive for selling and what is the best place to find an honest buyer?

Your Fossil is not worth much...just keep it. There is no market for your watch.

So, I wear my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Professional golfing all the time. I have never noticed a change in time keeping or any damage. Truthfully never thought about it really.

Got a new camera today; first one that's not a simple point and shoot. Naturally one of the first things I mess around with is the watch

Finally bought my self a Tag. I was on a cruise last week and found a great deal so I jumped on it.

But still love my Orient, Apple Watch 4 and Seiko 5.

Apple Watch Series 4 Space Black 44 (316L Stainless Steel with DLC) and Nike Sport Loop (black with reflective thread).

Stainless steel is coated with DLC. Front glass is sapphire. The back of watch is ceramic and sensors covered with sapphire. So, in essence, the whole watch (front and back) is very scratch resistant. Water resistant to 50m.

4 years after Apple Watch was introduced, it is indeed the #1 watchmaker in the world.

Smartwatch Brands Now Among the Best-Selling Watch Brands in the US – Robb Report

"As impressive as these numbers are, the clearest sign of the smartwatch’s ascendance is that smartwatch brands now make up three of the top five best-selling watch brands by value. While NPD would not disclose estimate sales numbers, they rank the top five brands as follows: Apple, Rolex, Fitbit, Patek Philippe and Samsung.

Of these brands, Apple appears to be out in front by quite a margin. Another study, from IDC and Strategy Analytics, estimates that the company shipped 23 million Apple Watches in 2018, about half of the smartwatch shipments worldwide. "

Sad. Men have lost their soul as well as a sense of style and timeless, distinguished tradition. Like a quality cigar and a sharp suit. Now they wear wristpads and dress down with ankle high pants like a pack of losers.

I sense so much drama in your life....

I'm not that hardcore of a watch guy, but I do have a couple that have crossed my path that are very much "me"

Marathon General Purpose Mechanical Military Field Watch with Tritium and Sapphire Glass (34mm)

This is my rugged / camping / field watch. Favorite thing about it is the size/weight and the tritium tubes and that it never needs batteries.

And the most recent acquisition, from my brother who basically moved onto something else.

Citizen Satellite Wave World Time
Solar charging, very accurate, sync via satellite.

Nah. You just stay head down tapping your little wrist monitoring your heartbeat and other “vitals”, Dr. Snowflake.

Ignorance at its best. :snacker: Only snowflakes make a big deal out of nothing and then blame someone else...just saying.

Amen brother!

My new favorite watch brand is called ZINVO WATCHES!

They create very unique watches. I ordered an orange watch to start and was very impressed. I don't order online often but was happy with the free shipping option.

Any suggestions on other waterproof watches?

I've always had an interest in watches. I've got a small collection that I rotate through. My red & black GMT has been my go-to for several days now, and the 16710 could easily be my one and only!

It’s nice to see so many cool watches and that this group is into them. Here are some of my favorites I’ve collected thus far. I apologize in advance if they are crooked as I’m uploading from my phone.
