I know there is a similar post on this topic (which I have contributed to) but I think this may be a separate issue; therefore, the new thread:
Any input/experience would be appreciated.
Whenever it rains, water accumulates inside the tailgate rubber seal but only at the bottom. There is no moisture at all where the seal is vertical. I am still trying to troubleshoot it. My next test is to see whether it accumulates when the vehicle just sits in the rain or if it happens only when/after driving. If it only happens while driving it the water may be coming in between the seal and the body. If it happens while stationary, I think it may be coming from inside the tailgate (between the gray plastic and the metal on the tailgate in the last photo) The tailgate drain holes are clear. I also wonder if the seal between the rubber and the metal tailgate is tight enough. I opened the tailgate window and closed the tailgate onto a piece of paper and it came out quite easily. I wonder if it's not closing tight enough. Thanks in advance.
