Waterport mounting?

Has anyone mounted the Waterport to the factory rails? If so, how did you do it?
I will eventually mount it on the roof rack (if I ever get it), but I need it soon. Thanks in advance!

which water port? the first or second iteration? The first can be zip tied, the only one i'm aware of for the newer model is this

For future posts, if you just simple add a reply that says "bump" will yield you more responses.

Good luck.

get some L brackets, slightly bend them and bolt them to the factory rails. its not very difficult depending on where you want to put it or how you want it to look. i mounted mine to my rhino rack hanging over the driver side rear window. im going to eventually re-do the bracket and make it beefier..

here's a picture of my first attempt..

How do you like it so far? I’m considering getting one. How long have you had it and how has it held up?

one awesome thing to have if you do a lot of outdoor activities.

@OP :- I mount mine to rear hitch works perfectly. get yourself a small portable bike air pump does wonders

Yeah, I think that’s what I’m gonna do until I get my rack. Mine came with a pump, does that not work very well?
It’s gonna be great to spray my waders and boots down prior to taking them off.
Thanks!

The second model. Unfortunately the Rago one mounts differently from what I can see.

if youre getting a rack, either use the mounts that comes with the kit or buy the rago bracket to use on the type of rack youre getting. not sure what you mean by mounts differently..

In the picture they provide it looks like there is some sort of flat bar running between the rails. The flat bar has holes in it that mount to the Rago “L” bracket. I’m not sure how that would mount to the factory crossbars.
Thanks

I mounted mine on my roof rack using ratcheting straps. Eventually removed it though because it became more of a hassle to use. Been sitting in my garage for almost a year now. Use a normal Jerry can now and its a hell of a lot better.

Got a good deal

I was able to get one of these tanks for a great deal. Initially the family didn't understand why i bought it but when i mounted it and took it to the beach for 4th of July, my genius was realized by all!

We got a lot of use from this tank at the beach but also subsequent trips to our favorite state parks. Rinsing of sand/dirt from our feet, shoes, table and gear was the biggest use but we also used it for rinsing off sticky water melon juice, washing utensils and cleaning up the truck a bit.

I found the shower setting is great but only lasts about 3-4 minutes. I like the "mist" setting cuz it lasts 15-16 minutes.

I attached it to my Rhino rack by bolting their mounting plate to some spare awning brackets.
