Wattage Rating on Factory Speakers

I have a 98 4R limited with the single CD - Tape player , 6 speaker setup . Been doing a lot reading here and am planning on adding my Alpine amp and Sony 12" Xplode sub.

Its a 4 channel amp with sub output . My question is , what are the factory speakers rated at, as far as wattage goes? Will they handle 40 each ?

They are 10 years old - why not just use them til they blow then replace with decent speakers. Unless the LTD came with better speakers than the std edition they are cheap paper cores and small magnets.

Thats what I was curious about . They are probably cheapies. If I'm going to start disecting it to do the amp , I reckon I might as well put better ones in and be done with it .
