We are always short changed here in the USA

I often can't believe how other parts of the world have so many better options for cars, trucks, or RV's, etc.... Here is an example from Jayco in Australia. Why can't we here in the U.S. have these options???

I believe it has to do with how expensive and time consuming it is for companies to launch vehicles and such in the US due to regulatory issues. Things like crash safety, emissions, DOT approval, etc. They would need to invest a lot of time and money in the launch and they'll only do that if they think they can sell a ton. Or they just won't bother.

Smaller companies also probably don't want to deal with the hassles of shipping large vehicles or trailers to the US and how that adds to the overall cost.

We have also been short changed on models that actually made it to the us, but never got certain options such as civic type r(finally here for next year), integra type r(had for one or 2 years in us) , accord trype R, special editions of the 300zx, supra, rx7. Plus godzilla. Is one of my alltime favorites that we never were allowed to have. (Thank god for the 25 year rule, and the show exception rule)

Being an Audi fan the B5 RS4 avant was something I've always wanted (less now than before....but you get the idea).

Are you kidding? Check out what it would cost to buy something comparable to a Camaro SS in the UK, or a GT350 in Germany, or an F150, Tundra, etc. Actually, in many cases there are no such options. We have it much better here in so many ways when it comes to cars and trucks.

Unfortunately it is all about regulations. It's not just our regs, it's theirs too. Safety/ emissions regulations on both sides of the pond don't match up. We can't get a lot of their cars because they don't me our regs and they can't get our cars because they don't meet their regs. As far as who has it better, both sides have it better in different ways.

Love the avants and other wagon variants. Just realized the Panamera Sport Coupe or whatever they're calling the wagon concept is not for sale in the US. Had I known earlier I might not have purchased the T4R.
