After having some inclement conditions with my weathertech floorliner mats shown here:

I can honestly say that the automatic "draining" feature really works. I never "knock" or clean my shoes before I get in and have tracked quite a bit of snow into the driver side. The mats have "self-cleaned" out all the water and muck, dumping it on the door sill area.
It has been great. In the past I have had mats with deep groves that held the water and still got my pants dirty...these floorliners are better.
