weeeee's build thread

time to upgrade your suspension with all that added wieght

Yeahhhhhhhhhh....about that. I have a front bumper, rear bumper, and full skids on order so the "mild expo build" idea is about to fly out the window.

However, I've been pretty conscious about how much weight this rig has been putting on lately so everything I've been thinking about has been with weight and drivability in mind.

I just ordered some King 650lb coils for the front, Icon Overland for the rear to pair with the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo I'm running. Hopefully this holds me over for a while.

I smell a garage mod day coming up...

Add those to the list of parts I haven't installed yet. That compressor is still sitting in the corner of the garage from when you last came over haha.

I have a pair of 6112 in the garage and Supeflex coils on the way............

And a Chicago Electric impact gun :pop2:

Yesss....you'll be pretty happy with that combo. I've had mine for roughly 10k miles. My only complaint is that they are a tad soft at times, but that's usually completely loaded with the RTT, gear, people, etc. They haven't bottomed out or given any excessive body roll so it might just be me being picky. Overall I'm sticking with the shocks until I can justify going ADS or King.

Are you volunteering your air tools

That cheap impact gun has won my heart over! I beat the hell outta that thing and it never skips a beat. Make sure your extension cord can handle the amperage draw...

Hope so! Now to decide if I should install the suspension before UCA and tires or wait and do it at the same time.. but no air tools here :sobbing: Chicago Electric is from Harbor Freight lol.

It's a hell of a value workhorse for sure ...my extension cord is orange if that matters

Just ironed out my CBI OffRoad Fab rear bumper order with a few custom options. They were awesome to work with. Should be here in 4-5 weeks. Can't wait! :reddance:

Wow nice to see you actually got yours! I ordered mine 03/18 with a due date of 04/17. I called two weeks ago, and they told me it'd be a couple days after they told me three more weeks over a month ago (if that makes sense). I'm patiently waiting....

Looks good by the way! What type of winch are you putting in there? I'm thinking of getting an M8000-S.

I was quoted around the same amount of time, ended up picking it up about a couple weeks ago. I did tell them I needed it by a certain date to coincide with a trip- hopefully they don't take too much longer on yours.

I'm between a Superwinch TS Synthetic and an M8000S. There's quite a price difference between the two, just don't know if I'll actually need it yet. I've got some other stuff I need to do before the winch purchase, so it'll probably be a few months out.
