Ah yeah I was wondering about that. Mine uses the second hitch setup as the point that locks it against the rear bumper.

Same here. I didn't realize it at first when I saw yours, then I saw Paul's bumper and saw the piece. It made perfect sense why it was there afterwards.

If everything was correctly done in the first place I'd be pretty happy with it.

The missing part that wasn't welded on is currently the largest issue I've had. There were some other issues (maybe just specific to my order?) but since CBI resolved them/is working to resolve them I'll reserve judgment until everything is fixed.

Frankly I'd just ask for a new swing arm, and have them pay for return shipping. Easiest course to take. They'll make it right.

Quick update on the rear swing out. I mentioned earlier that it was a pain to hold both swingouts in place when latching (otherwise it'd hit the hatch). I just confirmed with CBI that I'm missing the piece that holds one swingarm against the bumper for additional support. I'll either need to send the swingout back to them or have it re-welded and re-powdercoated locally. So far not too happy.

We'll need some more Pliny and grease to get that mother off..... And a bigger mallet...

yes, very much so.

Not every company is perfect and I understand mistakes do happen. Although I'm upset about the issues, they've responded to every email I sent so far. They are working on resolving the situation for me so I will withhold saying anything else until the matter is fixed.

I'm sure the company is doing whatever it takes to rectify the situation but it sucks none the less to deal with the hassle. When I spend $$$$, i expect perfection. =) You got a lot of variables to deal with. Hope everything is made right sooner then later.

hey weeeee. rig looks awesome. curious to see how your electrical/solar setup has treated you in the past few months. trying to choose between the two and I'm stuck.

- any "ragrets?" :biggrin2:
- wish you'd opted for a dual-battery setup instead?
- in terms of longevity and overall $$$*, which would you recommend between the two options?

* assuming that in both cases a shop would do the install / discrepancies between shop labour costs are negligible

No regrets right now. For me a dual battery would be pointless since I figure most of my electrical needs can be addressed with only one group 31 battery. I probably saved a little bit of weight and cost as well.

There are definitely some benefits going to a dual setup (less likelihood of getting stranded, additional juice for winching, ability to do an isolated electrical setup, etc) but for my needs the single works fine.

Bang for the buck I personally would opt for the single every time, but depending on your needs this may be different.

Made quick use of the new CBI bumper after I took a retarded line and wedged the rear against a boulder. I look cool, but I'm stuck.

Thanks for the correction, I know it was a LC6x something but wasn't sure. I did do a double take when I saw it was right hand drive- don't see them imported too much.
