Weekend snowstorm plans

Which hospital, the one on Gallows Rd? I helped out Arlington Co. Hospital for about an hour, probably will help them out again tonight
 
No plans and no worries, we are expecting all of 2 inches here in Chitown. I wish we got some serious snow here.
 
I can hear that the rain is frozen at the Beach. No fun here, althought I could hold out at home for a few months in comfort.

Leaving work in about 40 minutes. Just took a look into the parking lot - not bad at all, will see what the roads are like...

this pisses me off, i wanted it to be powder when i got out of the shop tonight, and there isnt anything on the ground. Now i have to wait till later to go drifting.
 
We aren't getting anything up here in Northern Wisconsin but we got blasted last week with 10 to 17 inches in little over 6 hours. sucks cause my runner was in the shop get clutch replaced so I had to drive my usual 45 min which took 1 1/2hr in my lil Hyundai Accent which was not fun on country roads. going to see a few more inches through the week. But have my runner back with brand new clutch and BFG A/T's
 
Nothing here in VT yet. It's supposed to start around midnight and end tomorrow afternoon. I think we are only supposed to get like 5 inches though :(
 
Snow


We have 4 to 6 inches on the ground in the Richmond area -- which is a major blizzard to most people around here. The areas to the north and west of us got at least twice the accumlation we have. I got off work last night at midnight (AFTER WORKING 20 HOURS!) and it took two hours for me to go 28 miles in the Mustang GT (not a good car to have in snow). I missed the 4Runner last night; that's for sure.

My Sentra is pretty much stuck in the driveway - but I may be able to get out and about tomorrow. It is front-wheel-drive, but does poorly when the snow has any depth beyond two or three inches. I hope the predicted sunshine melts some of this crap on Sunday. Monday will be one of our heaviest days EVER at work, so I gotta get there and get on the road early in the AM.

I have electricity, beer, Jack Daniel's, Internet service, cable TV, frozen pizza and Raman noodles. I am good to go....for now.

P.S. Between Fredericksburg and Richmond, there were at least a hundred stuck/stranded/disabled vehicles along the highway. It was awful.

We are getting pounded on LI right now, along with heavy wind. I was out and about a couple hrs ago and was fine, but the spazes who love to drive likes its 90 degress out not so much. Ill see tomorrow morning pulling out of my garage in 12-18 inches and 3 foot drifts of fluffiness!
 
My plan is to sit home safe and warm, and watch all the idiots that think their SUVs can go anywhere end up in a ditch. Cause that's what's happening all around here.
 
Holy crap, you poor American buggers! I just saw on CNN about the storm, and then came to this forum. A thousand miles north of you, we expect this and deal with it. Stay safe! (and I loved the comment about the '****s driving like its summer out).

:boink: LOL thats an understatement too, calling them spazes! We got 24 inches on my driveway and while snow blowing I had the joy and laughter of watching not 1, 2 or 3 but 4 people get stuck outside infront of my house. So I figured Ill give a hand to an "older" gentelman (first guy stuck), and I ask "so are you heading into work?" His answer....sit back and enjoy this one....."no i just wanted to see how the roads are" This was all in a nissan quest minivan with 2 bald front tires. So the wise ass that I am "ummmm you know we got close to 2 feet how the hell did you think the roads would be?" His responce "ahhh I thought I might have a problen b/c it took me an hr to get out of my driveway." The other 3 were teenages/early 20's in a maxima, acura integra and honda civic that I just shook my head, rolled my eyes and laughed.....then went back to working on my driveway. YOU CANT MAKE THIS STUFF UP! By the way the runner was PERFECT today, not one problem.
 
Storm was a let down over here, just less than 10". Took out both runners and they performed flawlessly as usual. The problem around here is that they plow so damn quickly and use so much salt, that it is tough to find an area to give the 4R's a good run in the deep stuff. :dammit:

ehh, CT is usually terrible but of course they were prepared. WTF! I still found unplowed lots and lots that had compacted snow and did donuts and oversteered and understeered through. It was still fun.
