Westin Nerf Bars

I have a 2001 4Runner SR5 that I just got last week and the previous owner had removed the running boards. I'm fine with it that way, but my wife is short enough that she has issues getting in easily. I did some looking at jegs and found they sell the Westin 24-1455 nerf bars. (Westin 25-1455, Westin Signature Series Nerf Bars | Westin) I'm just curious if these are any good or if I should keep looking? Also, is there another place to buy these with better pricing or service or is jegs pretty good?

I know these sound like newbie questions, because they are. I own a 2005 SR5 as well but haven't had the time or money to do anything to it, so its still stock. The lack of a running board is an somewhat immediate need though and on that I can afford to fix. So if anyone can offer so guidance to me on this I would appreciate it.

Thanks for your time.

No experience with them, but I'm sure they would be fine if used solely as a step. If you're looking for rock sliders them I would for something more substantial.

I see 4Runner running boards on craigslist all the time that the owners have removed.

x2 on those Westins being fine as a step, but they're toast if you try to use them as a slider.

Try TruckChamp. Their inhouse brand are Weston's (at a better price). I would sell you mine but they probably would not fit. They have worked great but I want to go to sliders soon since I am going off-road a lot more.
